Ben Kirman

A Senior Lecturer in Interactive Media in the School of Arts and Creative Technology at the University of York, Ben is a creative technologist with over twenty years experience building playful, gameful and strange interactive experiences. Since 2019 he has collaborated with nine theatres across Europe in the Creative Europe funded PlayOn project, developing productions that use elements from game design and immersive technology to experiment with new forms of storytelling. Session 10: Interactive Storytelling

For his talk on Interactive Storytelling, Ben will highlight game design in theatre, utilizing PlayOn productions. He will also reflect on the learning about storytelling in between theatre and games.
