Richard is an award winning creative technologist/developer, and the founder of Reflex Arc. Reflex Arc creates interesting, inspirational and educational experiences using immersive technology, exploring spatial interactions since 2008. Their underlying remit is a simple one: to help and enable people through technology.
Richard has produced interactive content across a broad range of platforms and headsets, for clients including The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, the BBC, David Hockney, The National Science and Media Museum, Marvel, Channel 4, Google, Sky, Universal and Adidas. Other projects have involved Disney’s The Mandalorian and the Jurassic World VR Expedition. Richard derives tremendous satisfaction from making fully inclusive, visually stunning and immersive products–not to mention playing, learning and sharing.
Richard will be sharing his experience around The Metaverse and Digital Storytelling - Empathy and VR. He will look at this in terms of accessibility and inclusion, both for audience and creators (e.g. making virtual production tools more accessible and comfortable for film-makers themselves.
